MISSION STATEMENT Leadership Lehigh provides a framework to develop and enhance the knowledge and understanding of our community. COURSE PROGRAM Leadership Lehigh provides hands on program whose participants view systems up close; work together to achieve a unique knowledge of resources and services available in our area, region and state. Leadership Lehigh is an organized training ground for our community's future leaders. SESSIONS The course begins with a mandatory retreat at South Seas Plantation, August 7-9, 2008. This requires a two-night stay beginning Thursday afternoon and concluding Saturday. Sessions begin August 20, and will generally meet every other Wednesday through graduation on December 6th. top of page The cost of the retreat, transportation, lunches, graduation and supplies are included in the tuition. Every year the Leadership Lehigh Steering Committee selects applicants based on their ability to represent various aspects of the community - business, government, education and community organizations. The size of the class is limited to no more than 25 participants. How about YOU! OBJECTIVES * Identify community leaders * Expand the leadership potential of the participants by increasing their knowledge of Lehigh Acres and the surrounding areas * Improve communications between present and future leaders in the community. * Provide a channel for those not presently in leadership roles to gain access to positions of community leadership in an informed and responsible manner. top of page TUITION The all-inclusive cost of Leadership Lehigh is $995. It may be paid in installments provided the full tuition is paid before August 7, 2008. A very limited of partial scholarships are available to employees of non-profit organizations.
